Spyware, malware, viruses, trojans, hijacks - all names for different variants of nasty stuff that you don't want on your computer.  See our cleanup page for how to get rid of them yourself.

If you still need help, we offer a fixed-fee service for ridding your computer of all this bad stuff.  Bring us your computer (nothing except the computer, and power adapter for notebooks) and we'll clean it up for you.  We follow our cleanup guide, and if necessary do additional manual removal.

We ask you to bring the computer to us for two reasons.  First, to do this right, takes several hours.  We scan and rescan the computer with several programs to make sure we find and get rid of as much as possible.  If we do it at your house, either it is going to be prohibitively expensive, or we are going to do a superficial job.  Second, should we encounter difficult problems we have the resources available to deal with them.

We charge $100 to cleanup the computer.  Drop it off on your way to work, pick it up on your way home - or drop it off in the evening, and pick it up the following morning.  Please make backups before you bring it to us.  When you pickup the computer, we will be glad to start it up and show it to you.  Optional services we can provide are:

• Backup data to CD or DVD:  We backup each "My Documents" folder, desktop, favorites, address book, and Outlook/Outlook Express email.  We will also backup any other data you want - you just have to tell us what it is.
• Deliver and setup computer:  You should be able to set it up yourself, and we will be glad to help you by phone at no charge, but if you want we will deliver and set it up for you.
• Pickup computer:  We can pick up the computer if you like.

If you want us to come to your house and do the work, we will charge our hourly fee and make no guarantee about how long it will take.  If you have three or more computers you want us to work on, we will come to your house and charge $100 per computer and guarantee the result.

Guarantee:  You computer will be spyware and virus free when we deliver it to you.  We will fix it for you under warranty if you encounter any problems within the first 30 days.  After that, the problem is likely re-infection.  We will fix it again for $75 in the first 3 months.

Want to know what we do?  No problem, we'll tell you our secrets!  Remember, YOU are responsible for whatever you do to your computer.  Please read our Terms of Use.  Here is what we typically do (subject to change!!):

1.  Boot into safe mode.
2.  Uninstall spyware using add/remove programs.
3.  Run some combination of Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, SuperAntispyware, and Malwarebytes Antimalware.
4.  Manually delete spyware from Program Files and Windows folders.
5.  Delete temporary files; empty recycle bin.
6.  Run AntiVirus full system scan.
7.  Defrag
8.  Reboot and repeat Spyware scans.
9.  Perform additional scans / manual removal based on results.
10.  Connect to internet.  Test.

This usually takes us between 3 and 6 hours, and we know what we are doing...

Please make backups!  We are not responsible for data loss under any circumstances!! 
A hard disk can fail at any time and there is nothing we can do about it.  Please make backups before your appointment, before you bring your computer to us, or ask us to make backups before working on your computer.
